The mapping of TOEFL scores among EFL students in Aceh

The purpose of this study was to describe the proficiency level English for Foreign Language (EFL) students based on their TOEFL scores. samples descriptive quantitative consisted 30 Education Department from Syiah Kuala University and Ar-Raniry State Islamic University. scores gathered organised test were analysed according CEFR reference levels categorise students. total showed that, average, placed in B1 (intermediate) proficiency. Individually, there four A2 (elementary) level, 15 ten B2 (upper intermediate) one student C1 (advanced) Regarding skills proficiency, achieved first section, which higher than remaining two sections that averaged level. students’ found they able pass universities’ graduation requirement but still fall short abroad scholarship admission.
